COVID-19

Update 05th Jan 2021

Following the news of another national lockdown in England from the 5th January, we can confirm that we will remain open throughout to ensure our customers have the parts they require to keep the country moving.
Deliveries to our trade account customers will continue as usual with the below social distancing measures in place.

Our shops/trade counters will remain open to all customers but on a collection only basis. Please ensure you phone ahead to order any parts and follow the social distancing guidelines below for collections.

SOCIAL DISTANCING – DELIVERIES TO TRADE ACCOUNT CUSTOMERS

With immediate effect, all our staff have been advised to keep a distance of at least 2 metres from anyone else. When one of our drivers delivers goods to your garage, they will not approach you in a way that breaches this 2-metre boundary. The driver will alert you, or one of your team, that the delivery is being made and the goods will be left in a safe and visible place.

When our drivers deliver goods, we ask you to also respect the 2-metre boundary.

SIGNING FOR GOODS

All our drivers are instructed not to seek a signature from you as proof of delivery. Instead they will ask for the name of the person who acknowledges the delivery and note it on their delivery sheet.

SOCIAL DISTANCING – COLLECTIONS – ALL CUSTOMERS

Each branch varies slightly in layout and size and so each branch also has its own policy. Please call ahead to find out what this policy is before arriving at the branch. As a general rule, should you visit one of our branches to collect and/or pay for goods, we ask that you kindly remain behind the temporary distancing line, marked out with hazard warning tape on the floor in front of each counter. Please remain behind the line whilst we process your order and wait for your transaction to be processed. At the time of payment and handover of goods, you will be invited forward. Please follow the directions of our team members. It is for their protection and for yours. Most branches will only be able to allow 2 customers into the shop area at any one time.

CASH PAYMENTS

With immediate effect, we are starting to limit the amount of cash we will accept for any goods delivered OR collected. If you normally pay by cash, we will be asking that you pay by card at the point of ordering the goods. We are already able to accept payments over the phone for account customers. All none account payments will need to be paid within the branch by card.

We hope for your understanding and kind co-operation with these new measures and we look forward to getting back to normal at some stage.

In the meantime, please keep an eye on this page for any further updates.

Thank you,
